christmas card club challenge 4 Kates choice....Icicles

my card this week was inspired by the photo I took of our porch ...such beautiful icicles

so this is my card

the house die is one of my favorite Marianne dies.....it gets used for every new home card but it is fabulous for Christmas too....the trees are Sue Wilson dies....the fence is Doohickey....the icicles cheery Lynn designs.......the snow is cosmic shimmer Diamond snow on Dovecraft dries white glue....I tried dries clear and it didn't look snowy enough.....the background is white aqua tint splattered onto Kraft card.....my first attempt at this.... and getting the right brush seems to be the key to nice splatt...the sentiment is a really old LOTV stamp embossed with white embossing powder
Kate I Had a ball making this card...thank you for such a fun challenge.....

  3. Fantastic card Margaret. The dies fit together to form a great image overall. Love those icicles hanging from your porch. It happens around our house and carport too too and I'm petrified they will break off and stab somebody!! Hugs Christine xx

  6. So many details and fabulous die cut trees on this lovely card Margaret. I love the contrast of the kraft and white, very striking and your added snowy details create a beautiful, icy, wonderland feel.

  7. Love this card, love this card, love this card. Margret do you think I like your card -- oh yes. Nice and snowy and cold. Not something I will see anymore. Love your use of dies -- oh wow. When I first opened your post I thought REAL ICICLES! Yep - gotta get these dies - gotta make this card! They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery!

  10. Such fun to compare the real icicles to the ones on your card. Which is just so detailed and lovely. Love the log cabin texture with the wonderful snowy icy effects. The icicles look just like in the picture too! TFS how you made them, and must check out this die. the powdered snow looks quite real too. You put a lot of work into this card, and it certainly shows so beautifully. TFS & Stay warm. Hugs
