Playing with my new cd

just got my new crafters companion cd Crisalis Classics...and started to plat stright away...its so right for my great neices birthday next week.....

a bit bright in my photo but the image is so lovely.....

CHRISTMAS CLUB CHALLENGE DEBI's CHALLENGE 3 FOLD CARD

Here is my take on Debi's challenge, it is a stepper card so definatly 3 folds.....and traditional colours

I have used the Polka Doodles cd" here comes christmas " for the background paper which I have cut up and decoupaged,the topper is a tag mounted on a bit of mirri card and some glitter for santas fur.. ...sorry the light is not good but its so dull here..even the daylight lamp isnt doing the card justice.....looking forward to going round all your blogs  later.

I used the wonderful Polks Doodles CD sugarplum daisy and decoupaged the image up a bit of glitter on her wings.....the frame for the easel card and the flowers and leaves are Marianne dies with
Tim Holtz distress ink stencil through the dies.
.the sentiment is from the Polka doodles rubber stamp set Maggie....hope you like it and are inspired to join our challenge.

I made 2 cards for this challenge

this first one is a heartfelt creations stamp...embossed with cranberry embossing powder.the poinsettias are the spellbinder die and matching stamps embossed with cranberry on parchment
backgound little dots M Bossabilities with a bit of cranberry ink distressing...PVA glu dots, dazzle and bakers twine round the ribbon..

I made this using some of Dawn Bibby's grande words and backing papers....Marianne design holly, and spellbinder poinsettia die...a bit of ribbon from my stash....

I thought I would do something a bit different to the usual red and white for this year and have used the image from the Polka Doodles PRETTY SWEET CD....along with the backing paper, The flowers are from the Polka Doodles CANDY DOODLES CD.....the colours all work so well together,for  the centre of the flowers I have used  card  candi

A MANS CARD

just started to play with my Justrite going places vintage labels

Image stamped with black soot distress ink and cut out with the corresponding die

 attached to a piece of coordinations black card which has been embossed with the couture creations houndstooth embossing folder and sanded back....creative expressions  silver PVA glue for the dots..

cut out cogs from the spellbinder cogs set

wrapped round with creative expressions twine

sentiments are LOTV mini tags.....

PLAYING WITH SOME NEW DIES

and a stamp that was back the back of a draw unstamped....I really only find my stamps when I am on a rummage for something else....

using my new heartfelt creations delicate aster dies...they need cutting with wax paper as they are very difficult to get out of the die,the stamp is a creative expressions one that has thinking of you on it....the butterfly is the spellbinder les papillions 1...the background is couture creations embossing folder " tied together."...with cosmic shimmer glue dots...
