Christmas card club challenge 5 Christmas carols

 this weeks challenge is chosen by our lovely Rita.....

well this card was certainly a labour of love...I paper pieced the red into the poinsettia and wished I had never started it when of course I was missing several little bits at the end...still it was worth it....the lovely LOTV image of carol singers..I wonder what carol is their favorite....

I have used the spellbinder set of dies ...Sunday Drive such fun to play with and a great use fir all those bit s of card. The background embossing folder is from creative expressions.

Easter card....

 I am steadily getting my easter cards made and having fun .....

for this card I have used a tattered lace frame from the picture postcard set to make the card shape and matted and layered my LOTV image all decoupaged up, the sentiment is a Sue Wilson die.

a Sunday Christmas card

 I have been trying out the dies my niece Elizabeth bought me for christmas...

the fancy die cut is Heartfelt creations Elegant Swirl Gateway, such a gorgeous die and it makes a lovely card shape...I used some papers from the sparkling poinsettia pad and made some poinsettia up using the Christmas poinsettia and holly stamp and die set ....

the bells and greenery are from the tattered lace over the mantle set...

Time for Tea....

 I am making a few little cards to send to friends that I haven't seen for a while, like all of us at the moment the thought of being able to meet up for a cuppa is something we dream about happening 

I created the card shape on my scan and cut and the images are from Carnation crafts USB Wild and Wonderful....I have decoupaged up the bottom two cups to add a bit of dimension....

Easter card....

 yes I am having a lovely time making easter cards...the sun is shinning today and making me feel quite spring like after all the snow and cold of last week....

the image is from LOTV and the card shape is a Sue Wilson die background collection-triple column..I have decoupaged up the egg and added a gem to the centre of the bow....some bright yellow card from my stash .

my Valentines card for Richard...

 getting inky this year for my card and playing with stencils...right out of my comfort zone...

the stencil is from sweet poppy stencils and I have used cosmic shimmer midnight sparkle kiss through it ...I have never been very successful with this kind of technique but I have invested in a Wendy Vecchi make art magnetic board and now my lovely stencils stay put and the medium doesn't seen to sneak underneath and is much crisper....the stamps are from a penny black set called love and hugs from a few years ago....

getting started on Easter...

 Easter is early this year so I am getting started on making my cards as I suspect I will be sending a few more this year to those people I haven't seen at all since last March...

made using my carnations crafts USB...Wild and wonderful and cut out on my scan and cut...

a snow day crafting...

 its snowing here today so I don't feel at all at odds with making Christmas cards.....

I decided to make an easel card to show off my LOTV image....I just love using Kraft with white and a little pop of red....

I had my covid jab yesterday with not a one side effect ...brilliant at the surgery in and out so well organised....thank heaven for the NHS....

thank heaven for crafting....

 this lockdown is much tougher than the first ..the cold and the snow are making it difficult to even go out for a walk so I am exercising by going up and down the stairs!. .thank heaven for crafting....

I have been doing a bit of stamping today...I decided to heat emboss this lovely image as well to give it a glorious shine...its a woodware stamp called Lino cut-wren....and has to be a firm favourite of mine....

I have fallen onto the naughty step this week and bought some new dies...I know I was going to be so good....but the new arch dies from Heartfelt creations were an indulgence....

playing with Gnomes....

 I discovered that I seem to have lots of Gnomes in my stash and most of them are unused...so far...here we go.....

I decided to make a small stepper card and use this Tattered lace set...along with the mushroom house set...lots of glitter.....
