Red and White candy cane.....

just fancied making an A6 card in red and white....

the background die is called candy cane from Altenew...I have paper pieced in the white layer....the poinsettia is from John Next Door and the white foliage id Tim Holtz wintergreens.....the sentiment is a Sue Wilson die....
It has been another busy week,having the chimney swept,buying a new PC monitor,visiting my brother and his wife and going round a lovely garden centre at Wentworth Woodhouse after lunch looking at the christmas decorations....shame it is so bitterly cold but at least we can use the fire again.

using stash again....

I have had these Altenew stamps for several years 2016....and only used them once...

I have been reluctant to use them as I was no good at lining them up...but now I have a stamping platform I am getting much more confident ....and a fan brush for the splatters what a difference that makes....
the stamps are Majestic blooms...Dahlia blossoms...and versatile vases...

a couple of cards for my stash......

some time ago...yes really....I bought the Altenew...layering flower dies so I have been having a go with them....

next I am going to try using the top die cut as a stencil and see what I get with some spray inks.....what I hear you say...Margaret getting inky...well I am going to try,with rubber gloves on!

a masculine card....

a card for my friend in America he has a boat but would love to go on something like this.......

the wood effect background stamp is Altenew stamped with walnut stain distress ink,the background is just me playing with distress inks,salty ocean,chipped sapphire and lemonade....the die cut is a tattered lace one coloured with copics....silver matt mirri and a LOTV sentiment, red nuvo drops...
kept it as flat as I could for posting....

a bit of move out of my comfort zone...I have been following Mimi A le Carte on facebook and  she some amazing work on the penny black design team..... I was lucky enough to win one of her beautiful cards....so  I thought I have some AlteNew stamps ...so here is my attempt...

I think I maybe hooked!....it was so relaxing and fun...I did end up with ink all over...and my hands...well....
I am going to Ally Pally this weekend so heaven knows what I will come home with!
