Carols Challenge....no patterned papers

The first challenge for our Christmas card club in 2013.....seems very apt as we had over 6 inches of snow on Friday night and each garden seems to have a snowman in it!
thank you Carol I just loved this challenge...out came all my embossing folders and die cuts!

this is my newest snowman from stamp addicts (I think) I have thrown away the packaging..... Swiss dots embossed background and snowflake embossing folder,martha stewart snowflake dies....memory box frostyville border die (just treated myself to the matching wreath die.....)coloured with copics...nose,buttons,hat and candy cane all glossed with cosmic shimmer clear varnish lacquer...creative expression sentiment embossed with cosmic shimmer steel blue aurora embossing powder...blue miri and a bit of bling in the snowflake..and pinflair Snow Dust...
looking forward to going round and seeing all your lovely cards.....

POLKA DOODLES CHALLENGE MONOCHROME

Its time for the Polka Doodles challenge this week the A team are show casing there inspiration for Monochrome Cards.....

I have made mine using 

Sugar Birdies cd for the flowers and sentiment....

Back to nature cd for the image "shake a tail feather" and the backing paper from the same section which I have greyscaled before printing....

the leaves are cut from the Marianne designs die cut ...open flowers

I have used card candie for the centres of the flowers...

NEW HOME.....

I have made this card for Billy and Kate who (fingers crossed ) will be the new owners of my dear old Mums house and home for 65 years...she would be so pleased that a family are moving in to fill the house with love and laughter again.....

I have used the Marianne die  cr1218  for the house, Trees cr1224, Lr 0191for the lamp standard Doohickeys  fence die...martha stewart flower boarder...spellbinders banners and pan pastels for the background  and loved making it.

New toys.....and a play day

Just treated myself to the spellbinder expanding background...sado that I am I have spent the day playing with them to see how big I can get them...yep A4....but took a lot of effort, mind you they cut like a dream, inspired by Sue Wilson...

I just loved the way this came out....this is the butterfly magic expandable die....just a bit of red patterned paper...Tilda...micro beaded, plain red card a bow and a creative expressions button....

birthday card for a man?

I have to say these are the hardest cards for me I just never know what to do....playing with my delites.....

this is the cattstails die cut 3 times....the butterfly is from the les papillions stet are really are a nice size...the sentiment is a creative expressions one embossed with cosmic shimmer bronze lustre ..I used craft card and boy was it difficult to cut thank goodness for the wax paper...and a bit of bling.
