now normally on a Sunday I post a Christmas card...but I did that on wednesday so todays card is a birthday card.....

I treated myself to one of the tattered lace melded dies....celebration as I thought it would be useful for men and women...so this is the male version.....it is covered in glitter but sadly that doesn't show on the photo....its tipping down here today and taking photos is a real challenge...hope your weather is better where you are and that you are having a happy crafty day

Rudolph Day Challenge ...January 2016

its always fun to make a card for this challenge as anything goes and it makes me try new things...

I had bought some Sue Wilson striplet dies before christmas but had no idea how to use them round the page until I watched John Lockwood on Hochanda.....rushed upstairs to try it and hey ho.....
so I used the 2nd largest of Sue Wilsons double pieced squares set A and positioned the striplet die round the edge 4 times and it worked perfectly.....stuck the die cut mat down using double sided adhesive sheet and then rubbed mowed lawn distress glitter into the apertures....cosmic shimmer berry sparkle PVA for the berries....the sentiment is a heartfelt creations one you will have seen many times before...one of my favorites

Christmas card club challenge 2...Maureens choice "sleigh"

I have gone back to one of my favorite shaped cards...the snow globe.....and some of my old tattered lace dies.....

I had great fun making this card.....lots on lots of layers of die cuts, tattered lace sleigh and reindeer....Sue Wilson trees...tattered lace and scan and cut snowflakes....the parcels are cut on my scan and cut....the sentiment is from Jayne Nesterenko's adorables stamps...playing...lots of cosmic shimmer iced snow....and the backing paper is a download from years ago....sadly now losted...this is my last sheet.

but its frosty and very cold.....never mind its toasty warm in my craft room

I really haven't got back into the crafty swing...I have 3 projects started and then put to one side so I thought I would just have a play with my Tonic Kensington handbag die...bought on a whim thinking it would make a nice little gift bag for my nieces....its still smaller than I envisaged it but it will be okay for earrings and bits ....the flowers are tattered lace....

Sunday christmas card......

yes I Am getting back into the swing of things now...although my rotten cold is still with me!

I have been testing out my scan and cut with all the lovely house mouse decoupage I bought and lost the will to cut out....its wonderful....the backing paper is from the house mouse triple CD.....the edging die is a Sue Wilson one....the sentiment is LOTV.....dark blue silky crush ribbon for the bow....you may see a lot of bows this year they seem to be my new play thing with my Zutter Bow it all.....another wonderful product....

A birthday card for my sister-in-law....

my first try with my tattered lace USB......

all the matts and layers are cut out on my scan and cut....love this machine I have had mine for 2 years now and use it every day I craft....the flowers are Sue wilson daisies and the leaves are her Ivy set.......the sentiment is tonic....

Christmas card club challenge 1....Festive food

this was my choice for the challenge ....festive food...so many smells and taste evoke the memories of christmas as a child, the mandarin orange in the toe of my stocking ,my Dad roasting chestnuts on a shovel on the fire..eat me dates remember those?...stirring the christmas pudding and Mum adding a splash of brandy....taking the christmas cake out of the oven and the whole house smelling of christmas spices....so many lovely memories...
My card features one of my favorites mince pies....

I have used a Makey Bakey decoupage from the christmas CD mounted on a spellbinder die....Holly background, and cut extra poinsettias for the corners...the papers are print from the CD and embossed with Sue Wilson holly swirls embossing folder and gilding wax rubbed over ...the sentiment is an LOTV grunge christmas one.....finished with a silky crush bow .....
My first card of 2016....have to admit it has been nice having a break over christmas but I am ready to craft again....
