having a play

with my new tattered lace Botanicals.....I know I shouldnt have but they are lovely....

I have used the die straight into a 7x7 card front...cut it out again in gold mirri and decoupage up the butterflies...the insert is off the cd that came with the dies...some fabulous images...the sentiment is a tonic die and the card will be this weeks card to my dear Aunty...
I hope you have a glorious sunny day the same as here...very cold but lovely to see the sunshine...and it looks like my snowdrops are nearly ready to burst into flower.....h.ave a good day what ever you are doing

this week it is Maureens turn to choose our challenge...thanks Maureen a chance to use some much loved dies.....

the card is made using tattered lace basic star.....backing papers LOTV pad...polar bear is a marianne design die as is the sentiment....some new stuff...the snow is from annamarie designs...foam balls a bit tricky to work with they are so static!

this weeks card for Aunty

my dear Aunty has had a lovely christmas this year in the nursing home...they are wonderful there and even managed to let me speak to her this week...a major feat as she is very deaf and they has to fixup speakers and one of the nurses help by listening  and shouting.....

made with crafter's companion dies and a tonic die sentiment.....magnolia die for the flowers....
and a s usual accompanied by a long chatty letter.....

Christmas card club Challenge 1....2017...anything goes

A Happy new Year to you all.....
this weeks challenge is anything goes.... a nice easy one to get us back crafting...I haven't been in my craft room for over 3 weeks now except to put away some crafty goodies given to me over Christmas....so this is just a quick one to get me back into the swing of things....

a couple of tags made using Penny Black stamps.....I did a bit of masking and then created backgrounds using stamps...coloured using distress inks and a bit of glitter....
Hope you are all fit and well and haven't had this awful cold that is doing the rounds, Rich and I have been ill for 3 weeks but on the mend now.....
looking forward to seeing what all the girls in the club  have started their year off by making.....
