sometimes I really need to dial down all the embellishments and stuff and make a simple card...
so I have used the crafters companion connecting dies...this one is birthday...
I used some very old Phil Martin papers...the lovely thing about them are that you get the plain and patterned that tone so well.....

The design is anything but simple. It is so elegant and love the purples. I also love the way the card opens up...really neat.
