back to the christmas cards....

I seem to be on a bit of a roll with my card making ...

this is my most favorite die bought in 2017....so I thought it was time to get it out and use it a bit....
the paper is from the wonderful in white tattered lace cd.....and the poinsettia are from the wonderful in white collection....the sentiment is Marianne design and another of my favorites...

a Monday card......

its been raining since friday so I have been busy crafting away.....

the card shape is cut with my scan and cut and the rose is the tattered lace climbing rose....glossy accents for dew drops and tattered lace bees.....and a tonic sentiment......

more Christmas....

I have been having a really great time this week making christmas cards....sorry if you are getting bored with them but when a girl is on a roll......

a fairly simple star shaped card today using the tattered lace Santa die and decoupage....the poinsettia are from heartfelt creations...sadly all the glitter doesnt show up on the photo but everything has been glittered ...

I decided to use the crafters companion edger dies in a different way...I have no idea what this shaped card is called but it was easy to make from an A3 sheet of card...in fact I got 2 out of the one piece....a mountain fold at the front to cut the edger die out of....the paper is LOTV....

getting on with my christmas cards...

really getting on with my cards now....

I have been playing with my heartfelt creations ..."candlelit christmas collection"...the poinsettias are so easy to make using the shaping mold and the papers are so colourful....I did have a light bulb moment as I really wasnt getting the right effect with the glitter and have discovered that if I sponge it on and then make up the flowers I get a much better finish....

christmas card challenge 16...non traditional colours

this weeks challenge theme is chosen by Sylvie...

not a colour that I would normally use but I think it works okay....all the papers and sentiment are tattered lace from the "over the mantle collection...".the card shape and the oval are cut using my scan and cut.....
please pop round the blogs of the other girls...the links are on my side bar...we aremore than half way through the year and my christmas card stash is well up......

at last I have plucked up the courage to try these crafters companion edger dies...but only after reading a post by one of the design team which helped me to line up the dies....I just could not get my sizing correct....

so now I know to mat and layer and then cut it seemed to work okay....I really do like the font on the stamp that came with the die I can see it getting lots of use....
we have thunder and lightning here today...a good day to be crafting....
