Getting inky day 3.....

just thought I would finish off using more white outlining ......

well I have had great fun learning .....

getting inky day 2

so this time I tookthe Sheena Douglas A4 flowers folder and inked up the folder with Stazon...as I wanted to use distressed inks...

so I ended up with black in the deboss.....again I used the same colours as day 1and distressed....did a little white edging to some of the flowers and then gilding waxed the edges of the whole area....matted and layered onto black card and adhered to a 8x8 white card....
I stamped the flowers...Heartfelt Daisy patch.....and the leaves...Heartfelt Classic leaves...in black stazon and then cut them out on my Brother scan and cut.....and then the flowers distressed with mustard seed....I really liked the bright contrast ....the centres of the flowers are filled with clear large micro beads that have been coloured with Marabu GlasART...Gleb....which is still going after 12 years!...and a bit of Tim Holtz mustard seed distress glitter......
The sentiment is from Sheena Douglas's only words..."through the rain" set....
Can you see the smile on my face....and the inky fingers.....bleach I think!

Getting inky day 1

this is something I just havnt tackled before....I have watched demo's on create and craft the lovely Sheena Douglas finally has persuaded me to have a go...so day 1...gently does it....

I embossed Sheena's 5x7 flower embossing folder and then randomly inked with broken china,pickled raspberry and mustard seed distress inks........outlined some of the flowers with a white paint marker.....matted and layered on to matt black card....
Stamped Sheena's...greeting from the" only words-from the heart" stamp set...distressed with pickled raspberry...matted and layered onto black card.....
Still getting the ink of my fingers....but I did enjoy doing it...so tomorrow !!!!

finally my die arrived!......

I made my own glitter card as I didnt have any silver so a sheet of double sided adhesive and some extra fine glitter...I cut the lovely Memory box greeting out of white card....a spellbinder poinsettia cut from white card and the edges swiped with a Encore ultimate metalic silver ink pad...a dazzler for the centre...silver ribbon,Magnolia dohickey sprawling fern and tattered lace pine branch dies....

I just received mynew Marrianne heart die so of course straight to the craft room to make a card....

the backing paper which I love,,,is from the Papermania capsule collection....the toppiece has been micro beaded....the flowersand leaves are the new Sue Wilson rose die set...they work so well a couple of leaves from Tattered lace mini leaves....the purple card is centura pear darks....another card for my birthday box....

been dying to use this lovely stamp......

its a creative expressions background stamp...embossed in silver covered in double sided adhesive and glittered with cosmic shimmer..iced snow...you can tell that the crystal PVA glue from creative expressions is one of my favorites Its going on all my cards!....the big snow flake is a tree ornament from the range....I have used 2 embossing folders Sue wilsons lattice hearts and the back on is another crafters companion embossalicious folder snowflakes....all matted onto soft silver mirri....decorated with the pva glue dots.....

Melt pot flower and Micro beads....a birthday card

I had a lovely day playing with my melt pot making flowers from Martha Stewart moulds...so I had to make a card to use one of them!.....

using the Justrite lavish corners background stamp...dusty concord distress ink...I stamped the background up and covered it in micro beads....stamped the happy birthday stamp...Hero Arts .....onto Nitwits paper...and die cut and micro beaded it too.....next I embossed a Sue Wilson embossing folder using the same nitwits paper..edged with distress ink..........all mounted onto black card and the corner design...Heartfelt creations decorative blossom corner....some black ribbon and the flower I made using UTE...some black pearls and another birthday cardmade for my stash.....

couture creations stamp and embossed set

I bought this set a while back and forgot about it...but dug it out tomake some birthday cards....

I stamped the Happy birthday first...Hero Arts...friendship messages...thenI overstamped the couture creations ornate frame using dusty concord distress ink....then embossed the frame using the matching embossing folder from the set....the butterfly stamps and dies also come with the set....a few jems and a birthday card completed.....

Scan and cut......

my scan and cut arrived on Friday and I have been busy playing with it ....it really does do what they say it will...and more...and yes I have managed to cut out decoupage sheet....printed sheets from CD's...stamped images and made card bases....
this is a card made using creativecraftingworld's CD...here come the Girls...one sheet of images printed off...cut with the scan and cut and assembled....the flowers were perfectly cut....

I am impressed by this machine it may be an expensive pair of scissors but boy does it save time and my poor athritic hands....

been waiting to use these lovely stamps and dies.....

majestic morning collage background stamp.....majestic morning background precut set...thats the flowers.....spellbinders sprightly sprockets dies..the yellow background is embossed with a special touch A4 mask....time...some stickles on the flowers...bakers twine coloured with mustard seed distress ink...thought it would be good for one of my men friends who is a great gardner and loves flowers....

Christmas card club challenge #3...Mary's choice feature a heart/the colour red

well this certainly is red...and there are 3 hearts......

I saw a card on Debbie's blog and thought it was lovely so this is my version......
made using a cheery Lynn design die....Mega holly flourish...red card....creative expressions crystal sparkle pva glue....Britannia dies happy christmas..the hearts are a really old craft punch....and a bit of red ribbon from my stash....
