its been busy here...

I have been really busy putting up my christmas decorations ready for some friends visiting for a pre christmas get me into the christmas spirit few days.....well I think we managed that...3 days of non stop christmas visits...Nunnington Hall...1920 christmas....Lincoln cathedral and castle....and an antiques centre...then Harwood House to a magical christmas dream....
I am now settling down to doing the washing.....and a bit of therapeutic coloring

made using the Hobby art set Santa's Reindeer bought a few years ago and never used....and inspiration taken from their pinterest page.....
lots and lots of glitter...a fun card.

christmas card club challenge 24....all wrapped up...

this weeks challenge is set by Carol and she wants to see gift boxes/bags...scarfs,hats ect....so I have gone for the scarves and hats....

this is one of last years Lisa Horton Dies that I found unopened in my stash...how bad am I ...

I still have lots of started projects to finish up and this is the one for today......

when I first bought this tattered lace poinsettia 3D decoupage set I printed off lots of the different coloured sets and made them up..and as you do put them in a bag for later ....so now I am determined to use them.....
The background is Kraft cut with Tim Holtz mixed christmas media die....matted onto red card....the sentiment is also Tim Holtz....

using a background up....

a little while back I had a day making backgrounds ...so now it is time to start using some of them.....

distressed oxides..a splog of water to faux bleach...and then run through Sue Wilsons snowfall embossing folder and sanded back a bit.....
the die cut is Sharyn Sowell...building a snowman...from last years release..Sue Wilson stitched rectangles and sentiment and Sheena's snowflake corner.....

playing with fluffy stuff

I recently found a really old bottle of woodware fluffy stuff...tried it out and it still worked so I thought it would look good on the tops of the stockings on my elf card.....

the stamps and dies are My Favorite things....Santa's Elves ..and are one of my favorite purchases of this year.....so easy to colour with my copics...the background is a Bee crafty stencil.....

a bubble card....

I bought this tonic set when it came out in July or August and had put it to one side ...time to get to grips and play......

I have to admit it took a bit of working out which combination of dies cut which layer  but at least next time I will know ....not one for posting as the bubble for the shaker card is really deep...
the die is Tonic ...winter spruce and the lovely little baubles come from a Marianne designs set CR1384 which I have been using a lot this year....

loving these 3D embossing folders

I really don't make enough use of my embossing folders and this past few months have been on a bit of a mission to use them......

they are both from creative expressions ....the first one I have used glitter kiss fire red on and the second one has creative expressions fern metallic gilding polish on...the die cuts are all Sue Wilsons dies.....I had fun playing with these...a bit different for me.....
I am feeling much better now and have only the rest of this week on doing very little and by then the ribs should be healing.....its been really frustrating but at least I have finished off all my half made projects.
