playing with Gesso.....

Its Wimbledon......wheee so I become a couch potato every afternoon and my hubby cooks tea....how many meals can possibly involve sausages and beans!......still I am having fun playing in the mornings once the cores are done.....washing out today its so beautiful.....

I have been playing with my Shenna Douglas stamps...this set is briar rose.....
coloured with distress inks....the background is kraft card painted with gesso....embossed with an embossalicious embossing folder and sanded back......
hope you too are having fun crafting...and keeping cool.....

A pretty card Margaret, it's great to try new things now and again to stretch us out of our comfort zone isn't it?
Enjoy your tennis this afternoon and stay cool!

I love the background. I don't have gesso and I love the texture. The flowers are so vibrant with the black behind what you painted. Another stunner. I heard England is getting really whacko high temperatures. Stay cool!

Yay for you that DH is handling the meals so you can play...enjoy it while you can. Love the lovely texture & luscious roses on this fab background. Works so pretty with the beautiful flowers you've added. Looks like you've mastered the gesso technique. Just a really beautiful card, Miss M. TFS & Happy wkend. Hugs

Stunning. Love the gesso look on the kraft...especially where the EF has worn a bit of it away!
