using stash.....

I am going to have a whole month where I try to make cards only from existing stash.....lets see how I do!

My aim is not to buy anything at all from now till the end of september and force myself to use some of my stuff....
this is made using the tattered lace Peony Pavilion collection ...I do like to make a few pretty cards for my stash and I have to say this collection fits the bill...

a Christmas card

its been wet and a bit blustery the last few days so I have been in my craft room having fun.....

looking through some old toppers and papers in my stash I thought these would go well together...a Daisy Mae topper from Hobbyhouse...the frame is Paper Boutique....Winter wishes....the sentiment comes with the frame....the backing paper is christmas swirls from craft creations....as you can tell I am using up some of my stash......all edged with cosmic shimmer frosted sparkle....

Rudolph day challenge

its time for the August Rudolph day challenge over at scrappymo's....

I have been using some of my craftwork cards stash.....the pinecone decoration is tattered lace and the sentiment is from tonic....

making some backgrounds

I have been watching Julia Watts on hochanda and she really gave me some inspiration to go and make some backgrounds....

the first on is a simple caught in crystal using pixie powders and the second one I used glitterkiss frosty sparkle on the acetate first...before doing the caught in crystal....now I am definitely not a messy crafter but this was a technique I found very satisfying
the die cuts are Sharyn Sowell....

christmas card club challenge 17...Nativity

/this weeks challenge was chosen by GranMargaret......back to my trusty create a card dies for this one...

just cut out of Kraft card inked with walnut stain distress ink....a bit of glitter pen on the stars.... and matted onto black card which has been embossed with CC star of wonder embossing folder...the three wise men are also CC dies...all from a good few years ago,but they are timeless...

a bit of stamping.....

I bought these stamps last year and they need an outing again!

they are just such fun and make me smile....Stampendous snowman trio....varios tree dies on the first card....lots of glitter....

thank goodness the weather has cooled down...still waiting for rain but at least I can get in my room and make some cards....

made using Sue Wilsons Lattice Poinsettia background...frosty swirl embossing folder...and classic poinsettia...I did try cutting the background out twice to cut out the flowers but because I had used mirri the edges look terrible....the sentiment is from Tonic.....

a rustic card...

I was going for a rustic  look with this one....

I have just stamped and embossed in white embossing powder a random snowflake or two....a bit of ribbon and a couple of bells...the sentiment is a tonic die....
keeping it clean and simple....

this tree line is a die I bought last year and just didn't know what I was going to use it on but when I bought the Santa Sleigh die I thought it made a perfect backdrop.....
I used white gesso dry brushed over the craft card...

I have had a lovely few days making backgrounds and digging out some of my older dies to make a few christmas cards.....

I just love this image ...the die sare from Tim Holtz...festive Gent ..the Holiday lamp post..and the sentiment....with some heartfelt creations holly to decorate....creative expressions snowfall embossing folder and some tonic Nuvo drops....how much fun was making that!....

Christmas card club challenge 16...Christmas activities...sleigh,sledge or ski's

this weeks challenge was set by Maureen and sent me looking for something old to use for the first time...just like most crafters I have so much stuff I have bought and not used yet so my mission this year is to make at least one christmas card each week using stash....

this is an image from a La Pashe cd the best of 2012...Pickles and Podge...decoupage....lots of glitter and a few snowflakes...the sentiment is from Tonic.

this weeks card for Uncle....

my dear old uncle is not enjoying the heat at allso I am sending card to try to cheer him up a bit....

bless he is so missing his garden...I think if he saw it mind you he would be shocked ...the grass is just yellow....we have had a good bit of rain here and my water butts are full again thank goodness...but I have still lost some plants....
the card is made using Anna Griffins die flower bramble stenciled through with distress inks...a bit of heartfelt creations paper and a tonic sentiment....
