My Hubby's birthday card

did Itell you my lovely Richard is a record collecter...since he was 16 he has been collecting jazz 78rpm records ...over 9000 of them now so when Isaw this tattered lace die it was just perfect for a card....

we had a great time down in London with friendsand a visit to the V&A museum.....

The last challenge of the year for our little club a band of friendly girls who set a challenge ever 2 weeks to make sure that when Christmas arrives all our cards are done.....if you are interested in joining us just contact me.....

she is a fun image from Elizabeth Bell called Apple Blossom's skates.....I have put her in my favorite card shape of this year...a snow globe....the snowflakes are tattered lace...
I have put snowy acetate on the globe...glitter and pearls

free cut 30.......

ah mistltoe.....really like this cut

I decided to mount the green cut onto microbeaded white paper and it is so sparkly....
the sentiment is a crafters companion set...Mistletoe Kisses added a few pearls and a white bow....

a very simple clean card....cut from centura pearl white and backed with red mirri.....

have cut this in blue as well but not got round to finishing it......will post it later.

I have no idea where I saw the design for a similar card but I thought it was great....so this is my version.....
centura pearl embossed with embossalicious cherry folder using the letterpress technique using Adirondack red pepper ink...
.matted and layered onto red card...
white centura pearl embossed with the same folder....
red silky crush ribbon
The sentiment is a creative expressions one matted onto a spellbinder round shape...
The cherries are cut from centura pearl using a sizzlits die....Cherries....

Get well card

my sister in law is due to go in for a hip replacement so I thought I would make a card ready for when she is in hospital.....
Inspiration from the lovely Fleur

made using LOTV statements stamp....
spellbinders Fleur de lis square.....
centura pearl embossed with the embossalicious butterfly folder...
and the butterflys are spellbinders les papillions 2....
a few pearls and job done.....

Free cricut cuts 22....

I really liked these cuts so did them at A5 size in 3 different colours

The green centura pearl is backed with white centura pearl embossed with the embossalicious snowflake folder
The white on white is all centura pear but I micro beaded the back panel
The dark blue centura pearl has a backing of silver gilding flakes.....
a bit of bling on them all....

Day 20 and 21 free cricut cuts

I have so enjoyed playing with these .....the blue one I have matted onto white card that I have covered in micro beads and glitter.....

the red one is backed by mirri card.....
looking forward to seeing whats up today...there have been a couple that I either didn't like or had no one who celebrated Hannaka....but I am sure making the most of these 50 free cuts.....

Day 19 free Cricut cuts

I didnt like yeaterdays cut but this one gave me ideas...

the cut is done out of crafters companion centura pearl silver white...mounted onto papermill direct red mirri....then I raised the cut out section of snowflakes using foam pads...a lovely red gem...Merry christmas die cut from Tonic....and a couple of christmas trees....Marrianne dies...
I am enjoying these free cuts on the cricut craft room....wonder what todays will be....

Day 17..Free Cricut cuts

I thought these were great fun....cut and mounted onto white card....
clear varnish in the circles and cosmic shimmer iced snow to make them all glittery.....sorry it doesnt show up much on the photo...

now what do I use all those lovely coloured cut out circles for?...ideas please.....

I missed the first 12 but am going onto the craftroom everyday to see what is up and cutting free....soif you have a Cricut....whats to loose

I thought these would make good neighbour cards.....and what with a new computerand a wonderful free photo programme...photoScape.....I am having fun!

again a bit of a challenge for me but the trusty ooh La La creations cd Yultide wishes to the rescue

its a nice vibrant image and easy to craft with...I made an easel card using one of the multi layered toppers...the matching backing paper...a martha Stewart die for the snowflakes and an ephiphany shape for on the spellbinder star...a bit of ribbon...job done

the day after the storm....nothing much happened here the wind got up a bit and it rained and then a lovely sunny day.....a bit better for photos so here are my latest plays.....with inspiration from Sue Wilson.....

and I liked it in white as well....

it looks like it is on gold but it is silver....

Another Christmas card....

I decided today to play with my Tim Holtz holiday lampost die...what a whopper it is...

the rest of the dies are spellbinders and tattered lace...the paper is Raspberry road....the sentiment Justrite grand christmas sentiments....a few pearls....another card done....

playing with an Angel.....

I have been playing with Sue Wilsons angel stamp and trying out her fire and ice technique....amazing I am afraid the photo just doesnt show the sparkle and shine its just fantastic....

the image was stamped and embossed with white embossing powder...covered in double sided adhesive cut out with my spellbinder  gold labels 4....peel off the film of the adhesive and cover with cosmic shimmer iced snow.....mounted on card cut out with elegant labels 4...matted onto black....white card embossed with embossabilities Holiday magic....matted with black and mounted onto a white card 23.5 mm x 19mm decorated with cosmic shimmer silver lustre PVA pearls...and a bow made from silky crush ribbon and a creative expressions finishing touches embellishment...a few pearls ....

Found it...the 12 days of Christmas....

I knew I had done a card...it was in my box waiting for me to put an insert into it!...the box covered in half finished projects and choccy wrappers......

I think this is from the Ooh la la disc Yuletide wishes its a favorite this year....anyway here it is girls and Sue.....

Christmas card club challenge Sue P choice the 12 days of christmas

Well girls I am sorry especially to you Sue as I am off challenge...I made a card for this challenge and thought that I hadscheduled it...but I cannot find it anywhere....nor the photos so please forgive me ....rather than not post at all I have a couple of cards I made when I got my 2013 heirloom ornaments...

I liked playing with these dies and their matching justrite stamp sets.....so I made another one

the flowers are made from string...beads covered in glue and dipped in glitter..the pine cones are ones I have collecteed through out the year on walks....glued and glittered....

Christmas card club challenge....Maureens choice "upcycle an item onto your card "...

one of my favorite things to do is keep the cards I like and then make them into new cards...these are made from some M&S cards from a few years ago....

I have used the lettering and matted an layered it up with red mirri...red glitter on super double sided tape....and lots of dew drops for the holly berries...I had 3 of these cards sent to me one year and thought they were lovely and now they have a new life....

My crochet hat

struggling with the jet lag still so sitting on the sofa and doing a bit of crochet....must be 30 years since I followed a pattern and I was determined not to be beaten by it!

my wonderful Dr is retireing and I thought I would make him a card....

I shall miss him he is the only Dr I have ever had who talks properly to his patients....is a gentleman and knows his stuff....

Christmas card club challenge....anything goes

at last I have finished my advent calendar......made using my Tonic star dies.....

I was so pleased with the way it came out I set a piccy into C&C when the Tonic shows were on and they showed my piccy.....so as seen on TV...the numbers are all cut using my Cricut....the stand was £2 from a charity shop.....I used craft card to make the stars and there is a little opening door on the back of each one so I will be filling them with lovely choccys for my dear Hubby......

A quick Anniversary card....

Rich just asked me if I had a card suitable for a wedding anniversary in my stash...no I hadn't but 2 hours later ....yes I have.

made using the Tonic birds die.....heartfelt creations delicate asters die...a couple of embossing folders...I have curved the sentiment on a banner and it looks a bit crooked but thats my naff photo....
such a hot day today at least all my washing is dry!.

Katie's birthday card

this card is made for the lovely kind Katie who bought my Mums house and has transformed it, it is now a modern family home filled with love and laughter Mum would be pleased.....

the flower is the heartfelt striped sunkissed feur....the rest are spellbinders.....

A Mans birthday card

I had a special friend in mind when I made this card its his birthday on the 14th.....

Mike volunteers at RAF Hendon and so I thought this image from the justrite going places vintage labels was just perfect.....stamped in distressed walnut stain...cut out with the matching dies...a couple of embossing folders...cogs cut from the spellbinders set...greetings LOTV...

I got my new tonic dies and have been busy playing

so now I have my hot gun going ...I thought I would make 25 of the stars and make an advent calendar as there is a door on the back of the star and I can fill it with chocolate....oh yes christmas is definatly coming.....

Christmas card club...Lorraines challenge a Christmas scene

what a great opportunity for me to try something a bit different....all inky ....

I started by cutting out a large card with my spellbinder grand scalloped ovals.....and  embossed a lovely Ivy leaf mask...stamps away.... and then distressed it with forest moss distress ink....same ink for the image, one of the Stamps away set from last year...glitter of course for the snow...cut out with Spellbinders opulent ovals....and a bit if distressing round the edges whilst still in the die,back to my favorite poinsettia spellbinders die for the flowers cut out of cream vellum....Ivy leaf die... Marianne die and Cheerylynne designs holly flourish...gold dew drops...I replicated the inside with the same embossing folder.

oh dear where has my inspiration gone....do you look through blogs to find some well thats what I did and this lovely lady gave me an some ..just like her I had never used this die.....so thank you Pam

I base the card round the flowers I had made with the tonic punch and stamp set...with the lily in....
the background embossing folder is a crafters companion A4...the decrative matt is the spellbinder card creator detailed scallops....the swirly matt is the marianne design designables DS0907....the greetings are Britania Dies.....and the pearls are the creative expression PVA glue dots white pearl....
I am going to make a few more made with the flowers I have made up....I did tell you they were addictive didnt I.....

Christmas card club challenge Kerry's choice Baubles

for this challenge I thought I would do a couple of smaller cards....

I have used the Justrite Merry and bright set to stamp and emboss the bauble in Cranberry Adirondack embossing powder...cut out with the spellbinder matching set and matt onto a faux nestie... the fir tree branches and the holly leaves are Marriane dies and the little green fronds are Martha Stewart punch...branch...the poinsettia my favorite die the spellbinders set....matted onto a piece of white card embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder I have had so long the name has disappeared ....nice and easy..

this weeks challenge is alway that for me....boy and male cards....but if you use the Polka Doodles Pretty Tuff CD all that is solved...lots of images and lovely stuff.....so here is my card for the design team to give you inspiration and I hope you will join in the challenge
