birds in bloom...heartfelt creations....

my wonderful niece Elizabeth.......Verity cards did a facebook live for heartfelt creations a couple of weeks a go and got me scooting upstairs to dig out all my stash and make a card and oh I did have fun...found dies I had forgotten I had and stamps and dies.....wheeee

Elizabeth made an Easter card so I changed it a bit and did a birthday card...I couldnt find the heartfelt die she used so I used a spellbinder one....the rest of the dies and stamps are from the birds in bloom collection.....

Rudolph day challenge...May

its time for the lovely Maureens Rudolph day challenge over at scrappymo's and I do like to make a card for this challenge....
I haven't used this lovely stamp for about 3 years so I have given it a dusting off.....

christmas card club challenge 11...mistletoe and wine

I always think of the song when I hear these words together....I decided to make a card and a bottle holder to go together

the card is made from a cricut cut that I have had for some years...cut in dark green and matted and layered onto white card glittered with cosmic shimmer diamond sprinkles..and pearls used for the berries.....the stamp is a crafters companion one again some years old...see I am being good and using up old stash.....
the bottle cover is made with the tonic bottle wrap die...bought when it came out and this is its first cut.......backed with dark green and I made up the mistletoe decoration using stuff in my crafty stash.....

a masculine card.....

yep...one of those tricky to make cards for a man who is sensitive about his age...so no joke cards.....

so the tonic dies have come in......the intricate frame DL dies.....and some really old card stock....yehhhh...Anitas cards from when I first started buying crafty stash...one down 49 to go.....the happy birthday die is also a tonic one....a few nuvo drops and I am done....going to try it again in Navy and see what that looks like....

trying out a different card shape

I bought myself the tattered lace scan and cut special card shapes usb...so I am going to be trying out lots of different shaped cards over the next few weeks....

a nice simple one to start with...diamond top...the butterflies are martha stewart punches.....the nice thing about this card is that it opens flat and I can write inside...so another card for Aunty made....

back to my favorite flower for christmas...using the heartfelt creations sparkling poinsettia stamps and dies and paper from the paper pad...lots of glitter...going for a clean and simple monochrome look

using up scraps.....

I has some left over flowers from another project so I thought that I would make a little card for Aunty out of them......

one of my favorite old Hero arts stamps.....Spellbinders delightful foliage die cut twice to give a better depth on the frame....Heartfelt creations classic rose die and stamps and a few Nuvo drops....and of course glitter...my Aunty is a glitter girl!

Christmas card club challenge...10...base your card on a christmas carol

scratching head....I usually do something based on the holly and the ivy...but my mojo is sadly lacking at the moment so I turned to my Heartfelt creations snow kissed collection and found this .....

all the dies and stamps are from the same collection with the addition of a few gems and some glitter....

an experiment with velum....

my niece Elizabeth made some glorious flowers using velum so I thought I would have a go with heartfelt creations flowering dogwood stamps and dies.....

and I just love the look of them...stamped and embossed with white embossing powder....coloured on the back with Archival brilliance...pearlescent coral..shabby shutters distress ink for the leaves....lettuce prills for the centres...the sentiment die is a tonic one and the backing paper is from the heartfelt paper pad....will be doing this again as I am pleased with the look of the flowers...

playing with old stash....

still keeping up my resolve to use up some of my existing papers,dies and use some of my stamps....

the backing paper is Phil Martins graceful butterflies and dragonflies....the die is heartfelt creations decorative oval..forgot I had it!.....the banner is a really old spellbinder die...ribbon banner LG and the roses are made with heartfelt creations classic rose stamps glitter and nuvo drops....and the sentiment is an old creative expressions one from a set I have had from when I first started crafting.....ummmm years ago......

A Sunday christmas card.....

still trying to make one card a week but my mojo seems to have gone walkabout.....I am having to look on pinterest to get any ideas at all.....

I have gone to my trusty sparkling poinsettias.....the paper is from the heartfelt creations paper pad with the addition of a bit of glitter and tonic nuvo drops....I love making these flowers...

Anew home card

I got a message last night to say my ex sister in law was moving into her new home....so I really had to get going and get a card made......

I had a rummage and found this set of stamps bought in 2011...yes really...and not used....
Stamp addicts...dream home....stamped onto craft card and embossed in white....the sentiment comes with the set and I have used the Sue Wilson flag set for the banner...the flower is just the flowering dogwood die  as I wanted fairly unfussy...

the last of my easter cards

my flowering dogwood collection didn't really arrive in time for me to make all my easter cards with it as I had intended....but I did get one made which I forgot to post

such pretty papers from the paper pad....the flowers I made with parchment stamped with WOW ultra shimmer embossing powder...boy do they sparkle....with prills for the centres...I decoupaged the dove to give a bit of dimension.....one in the stash for next year.
